FLASH HOOK SWITCH:  When you are on a call and hear the call waiting signal, depress the hook switch for about 1/2 second and release, you are connected to the second call and the first caller is on hold at the phone company central office.  Do it again to switch back and forth. If your single-line phone has a FLASH key, this is the same as flashing the hook switch.  On a cordless phone you may need to use the on/off button to flash the phone company central office.  Remember, you need to dial 6 or STAR 60 after the flash.
