NOTE: When
you call an extension and hear a busy signal, you can alert them you are
trying to reach them by pressing the 1 button IF they have pre-set
call waiting. To pre-set call waiting on a phone press INTERCOM STAR
7311. From then on callers can press 1 to alert you when you are on the
phone and they hear a busy signal. Remember, they will only hear a busy
signal if you have set Forward N/A. If they had set Forward Busy on
extension calls, you would go directly to voice mail when they are on the

Before you can enter as a subscriber you must first open your mail box (LOG-IN). If this is a new mailbox, you will most likely hear a tutorial to get you started. Follow the prompts and complete the tutorial (you cannot get your messages until it is completed). With most Panasonic systems you have direct access to your mailbox by dialing the voice mail extension from your phone, or even easier, pressing a programmed flexible key on your phone. Using this feature, you (or anyone else who has access to your phone) are connected to your mailbox immediately. We suggest you have your mailbox password protected. Normally
500 or 165 is the extension number for voice mail when 3-digit extension numbers
are used. In some companies, a different extension number is used. If yours is different, please substitute
the correct extension number.

The voice mail is able to call up to 3
devices (telephones or beepers) when a message has been recorded in your
mailbox. It calls them in order, such as telephone 1, telephone 2, beeper 3. The example below is assuming the mailbox
does not have an existing telephone number programmed. If a number is
programmed, the VPS will recite the number and ask if you want to make a
change. Just follow the prompts to change the number.
