Press a CO Line Key
(They usually are labeled as CO 1 or Line 1) You will hear a change in the
pitch of the dial tone and can dial the number.
Dial 9, an available
line will be accessed. You will hear a change in the pitch of the dial
tone and can dial the number.
Dial 8, and the number of a CO line group.
For example, dial 83 and you will access line 3 or 84 and you will access line
4. You will need to know how your lines are grouped to use this
feature. The first 8 lines are by default, grouped as 1 in group 1, 2 in
group 2 etc. up to group 8 (except for the KX-TA 624, which only supports 6
lines). Depending on your needs and set-up this may
or may not have been changed. You will hear a change in
the pitch of the dial tone and can dial the number.
Press the Loop Key.
If you have a Loop Key programmed, it will automatically give you a line to
call out on. You will hear a change in the pitch of the dial tone and
can dial the number.

grab an outside line when you pick up the handset or press the SP-PHONE
