Station Names. How do I program Station Names?

  Each user in the system can have their name programmed into the system.  When they place an intercom call to another station, their name displays on the called stations display.  Each letter follows the number on the key pad such as 2 for A B C a b c 2

Additional characters that can be programmed in a station name

In order to change names, it is necessary to know the STATION number of the station. 

Names can only be programmed from phones allowed this feature.

Example below is for the phone located at Station 121.  Name to be entered is Bob

Press PROGRAM, STAR, STAR, 1234  004 004

Dial 2 (for the B in Bob) Display will read 2

Press ENTER or STORE to save 

 

If you press 6 to enter M and then want to enter O, press the button under the right facing arrow to move the curser to the right, the press 6 until the o shows on the display.

In order to change names, it is necessary to know the JACK number of the station.  If you do not know the jack number, go to the station.  With a display phone, press PROGRAM, 99, 6. The JACK number will be displayed (press PAUSE if you do not have a PROGRAM key).  Ten Characters Max.

Example below is for the phone located at Jack 07/1 Station 121.  Name to be entered is Bob

Press STORE.  Lift handset and hang up to end programming.  Press TRANSFER, STORE to clear a name.    Press 1 for Q Z !     Shift for q z ?   Press SHIFT soft key to change from upper case to lower case

To program another jack, press SP-PHONE for NEXT, REDIAL for PREVIOUS or AUTO ANSWER and enter the desired jack number to go to a specific jack.    Press STORE.  Lift handset and hang up to end programming.  Press TRANSFER, STORE to clear a name.    Press 1 for Q Z !     Shift for q z ?   Press SHIFT soft key to change from upper case to lower case

Return Memory switch to SET when you have changed all names.

Move System Program Switch to PROGRAM.  On the KX-T 1232 you will need to go to the Control Unit mounted on the wall.  There is a 3-position switch on the left side of the system.  Move the switch to the down position, labeled PITS SYS PROGRAM NO >

Press the SP-PHONE key Jack No? >
Dial 07 (because this is jack 7) 07 Not stored (or present name)
Dial 2 (for the B in Bob) Display will read 2
Press the AUTO ANSWER Key until

Press STORE to save.  Some older phones have a MEMORY button instead of STORE
