KX-TA 624/1232 System Speed Dial Programming

You must be on a display phone on the main phone on jack 01 to program system speed dial numbers and names.  You can determine if your phone is jack 01 by moving the memory switch on the end of the phone to PROGRAM (display phone only), and then pushing the number 6 on the dial pad.  The phone will read the jack and extension number.

1) PROGRAM, STAR, STAR, 1234

PROGRAM means press the PROGRAM button on your phone.  If your phone does not have a program button, move the selector switch on the end of the phone to program.  When you have completed all speed dial programming, move the selector switch back to original position.

2) Press 001 SP-Phone

3) Enter a 2-digit speed dial code (00 to 99) 

Speed dial numbers are stored in bins 00 to 99.  We suggest you make a hard copy of the names as indicated below.

4) Enter line access code, usually 9 

Nine 9 is the standard line access code for Panasonic KX-TA systems.  In addition there are line group codes starting with 8.  In default programming line 1 is 81, line 2 is 82 etc..  If you have some special programming such as a using a line key for a gate or door lock it may be necessary to use an 8X line access code. 

5) Enter number as you would normally dial 

Enter a local number as shown: 9555-3000    Enter a long distance number as shown: 91-222-555-1212.  Press CONF to place a HYPHEN between numbers if you prefer. It makes no difference but is easier to read when the number scrolls out on your display. Do not place a hyphen after the 9.  Press PAUSE for a pause.  Press TRANSFER to clear a bin

6) Press STORE

Press AUTO DIAL/STORE to store the number.

Press SP-PHONE to advance to next bin. Press REDIAL for previous bin.


 

To call a speed dial number

Press Intercom Star and a 2-digit number such as INTERCOM, STAR, 02

OR

Press Intercom, AUTO DIAL and a 2-digit number such as INTERCOM, AUTO DIAL, 02
