Transferring Calls to another phone

 

When transferring a call, you can hang up.  When the person (you transferred to) picks up the phone they are immediately connected to the outside caller.  If you wait and announce the call, the caller is connected only after you hang up.

While having a conversation.

Press the DSS key for the person

The caller is automatically placed on hold.

Wait for an answer and announce the call or hang up

Hang up.  The call is transferred.

While having a conversation.

Press the TRANSFER button.

The caller is automatically placed on hold.

Dial the extension number where the call will be transferred.

Wait for an answer and announce the call or hang up.

Hang up.  The call is transferred

 

Single-Line Phone or Single-Line Cordless

Press the FLASH key or quickly depress and release the hook switch or the on/off switch.  The caller is automatically placed on hold.  Dial the extension number where the call will be transferred.  Either wait and announce the call (screened) and hang up or just hang up (unscreened).  The call is transferred
